heat n bond ultrahold not sticking

Ive used Heat N Bond for years but didnt know if it would work well with machine applique. I use Heat N BOnd Lite which fuses the applique to the shirt, so if there is shrinkage they both shrink together sort of. Thank you so much for this tutorial and your cute designs. Mine has synthetics, wool-silk and linen-cotton so which of those would you consider medium heat. I guess well see.
